2. Traps: Traps can be used to capture pests, allowing them to be removed from the area without the use of chemicals. Traps can be mechanical, such as glue traps or rat traps, or they can be baited with food or other attractants to lure the pests in.
3. Exclusion: Exclusion involves identifying and sealing the entry points that pests use to enter a building or area, such as holes in walls or foundations. This can help to prevent new pests from entering and establish control over the existing population.
4. Habitat modification: Modifying the habitat can make it less attractive or suitable for pests, encouraging them to move elsewhere. This can include removing food and water sources, removing shelter or hiding places, and reducing clutter.
5. Biological control: Biological control involves using natural predators or parasites to control pest populations. For example, introducing predators such as birds or bats can help to control insect populations, while introducing parasitic wasps can help to control caterpillar populations.
