(i) Switch: A switch is a network device that connects devices on a network and enables them to communicate with each other. It receives incoming data packets and directs them to the correct destination based on their destination address. Switches are used to create local area networks (LANs) and can be used to segment larger networks into smaller, more manageable subnets.
(ii) Bridge: A bridge is a network device that connects two or more networks together and enables them to communicate with each other. It receives incoming data packets and forwards them to the appropriate network based on their destination address. Bridges are used to connect networks that use different technologies or protocols, and can be used to extend the range of a network or to improve network performance.
