(i) Function keys: Function keys are keys located at the top of a computer keyboard and are labeled with the letters F1 through F12. They typically perform specific functions in a program or operating system. For example, in a word processing program, the F1 key may open the program’s help menu, while the F5 key may refresh the document.
(ii) Navigation keys: Navigation keys are keys that are used to move the cursor or the text insertion point around in a document. These keys include the arrow keys, the page up and page down keys, the home and end keys, and the delete and backspace keys. For example, the arrow keys can be used to move the cursor around in a document, while the page up and page down keys can be used to scroll through a document. The home key takes the cursor to the start of a line, end key takes the cursor to the end of a line and delete key deletes the character after the cursor and backspace deletes the character before the cursor.
In summary, function keys perform specific functions in a program or operating system, Navigation keys move the cursor or the text insertion point around in a document and helps to navigate through the document.
